Lightning flickered behind the great temple of Angkor Wat, and the sky growled and grumbled as if unsure what to make of this evening of laser lights, music and fine dining.

With 150 dancers, 32,000 flowers, 20 life-size ice carvings, 4 elephants, 70 chefs and the Spanish tenor José Carreras, this was going to be an evening unlike anything in the 900-year history of the monument.

''Maybe the gods are angry at us for having an ostentatious time at their temple,'' one guest said during a brief sprinkle of rain, slipping over her head a sort of plastic dwarf cape provided by the organizers. With tickets costing as much as $1,500, this was the least they could do.

It was a year ago that a high-ranking Cambodian official said the time had come to rev up the old ruin with things like sound-and-light shows, zigzag escalators and hot-air balloons. ''Angkor is asleep,'' said the official, Chea Sophorn. ''We will wake it up.''

Since a rough-edged peace came to this battered country in 1997, tourist visits to the Angkor temples have risen from almost zero toward a projected one million in 2005. The temples are already swarming. The question is whether their aura and dignity can be preserved as they are roused from their centuries of sleep in the jungles.

''We are going to set the tone for future events like this,'' said Gilbert Madhavan, general manager of Grand Hôtel d'Angkor, who organized tonight's 1,000-seat gala outside the eastern entrance to the temple. He was treading a fine line that made some Cambodians and foreigners uneasy.

''Cue the monks,'' quipped one of the organizers as the evening began and 120 Buddhist monks in their orange robes -- each wearing a laminated ''José Carreras Charity Concert'' identification card -- took their places along the temple's pillared galleries.

They looked magnificent, splayed across the facade of the great stone building. There were small splashes of orange, too, at windows in the high towers.

It was their robes that were being used to enhance the evening, though, not their religion, here in Cambodia's most venerated Buddhist shrine. The temple, it turns out, is a stage manager's dream, with its five looming towers, its grand porticos and its layered rows of pillars.

''It's the best set I've ever worked on,'' said Nigel Jamieson, the evening's artistic director. Along with Mr. Carreras, Mr. Jamieson was the creative force of the night. His shifts of projected light, color and silhouette embraced the architecture of the building, bringing out unexpected aspects of its beauty. It glowed, it darkened, it softened, it loomed.

At one heart-stopping moment it came alive as the carved maidens of its ancient bas-reliefs seemed to melt from the walls and emerge, in a troupe of seven classical dancers, through the main portico.

Their slow, liquid movements brought a delicacy and fragile beauty that defied the word spectacle. Their art carries with it an inner soul impervious to its surroundings.

At that point the guests had just begun their mushroom soup, and the dining area was filled with chatter and good cheer. ''How about that, ladies and gentlemen,'' said the master of ceremonies, Jill Neubronner, a CNN correspondent, as the dancers, almost floating, disappeared again into the temple.

''History, culture, legend, all rolled into one,'' she said a few minutes later after a troupe of male dancers had performed a monkey dance, ending the show's Cambodian part.

Everything but religion. Angkor Wat is sacred for Buddhists, who make pilgrimmages here from around the country and from neighboring Thailand and Vietnam. ''For us it is not a spectacle but a temple,'' said Vann Moulyvan, the former cultural curator of Angkor who was removed for his refusal to compromise on commercial development. ''What they are presenting seems to me more on the spectacle side.'' On the other hand, Leang Chun, abbott of the North Angkor Temple, a small modern-day temple set beside the ancient one, said he thought the spectacle was fine.

''We Buddhists don't mind about other people,'' he said. ''We are always happy that foreigners come and bring development.''

The concert itself earned less than its organizers had hoped -- about $40,000 for each of four sponsoring charities. It was the country's very lack of development that helped drive up the cost. Almost everything, from table linens to food to flowers to electrical wiring, had to be brought in from abroad.

''This surely came from Cambodia,'' said Michael Storrs, one of the organizers, tapping his foot on the wooden planks that formed the stage. ''But not much else.''

The diners had moved on to their chocolate tarts, enriched with 220 pounds of macadamia nuts, when the Singapore Symphony Orchestra took the stage, bathed in violet light, and began tuning its instruments, accompanied by the buzz of cicadas.

Then, within a nimbus of white light, ''the moment we've been waiting for,'' said Ms. Neubronner. Mr. Carreras emerged from what might have been his dressing room, Angkor Wat. As his voice rose through the thick tropical night, the temple dimmed in a copper green light and the audience leaned forward. Across the centuries, two great art forms of architecture and music met.

He sang Italian and Spanish songs, and with each number the temple behind him was transformed -- pale red or taupe or green, its towers dominating or receding or stark in milky silhouette.

As the building asserted itself, so did the world that has surrounded it through all the changes of history.

In the silence between each song, the night was filled with the trilling and whistling of insects and the music of frogs and nocturnal birds -- the nightly concert whose audience is the stones and the stars.

Mr. Carreras's encore, ''Some Enchanted Evening,'' seemed to take some of the magic from the occasion, but that was only momentary, as was the entire attempt to wake up Angkor Wat.

Throughout the gala evening, no matter how many drummers, dancers, elephants and bottles of champagne, the real magic was elsewhere, just a short walk away.

There, on the dark side of Angkor Wat, hulking and silent with its silhouetted sugar palms, the temple stood in the moonlight as it has for hundreds of years, its mystery still impervious and unplumbed.

For those of you who have never heard of a magrav, and that includes the scientific community, an Iranian scientist with very unconventional views, is being credited with supplying the technology that did what some say could not be done. We interviewed him about this assertion.

I talk with the guy; he is not unreasonable, but then again, I am a simple blogger and not a rocket scientist, although I do employ rocket scientists or, more appropriately, work “with” them.
There is much more we can write here, but suffice it to say that Keshe and his wife were poisoned. Seemingly, he has the technology to overcome even that. We do know governments have banned him, but are also secretly examining everything he works on. Russian Sukhoi Su -24 with the newest jamming complex paralyzed in the Black Sea the most modern American combat management system “Aegis” installed on the destroyer “USS Donald Cook”. Pavel Zolotarev, Deputy Director, Institute of USA and Canada, shares details about this version which is being actively discussed in the Russian media and by bloggers.
US destroyer “Donald Cook” with cruise missiles “Tomahawk” entered the neutral waters of the Black Sea on April 10. The purpose was a demonstration of force and intimidation in connection with the position of Russia in Ukraine and Crimea. The appearance of American warships in these waters is in contradiction of the Montreux Convention about the nature and duration of stay in the Black Sea by the military ships of countries not washed by this sea.
In response, Russia sent an unarmed bomber Su- 24 to fly around the U.S. destroyer. However, experts say that this plane was equipped with the latest Russian electronic warfare complex. According to this version, “Aegis” spotted from afar the approaching aircraft, and sounded alarm.
Everything went normally, American radars calculated the speed of the approaching target. And suddenly all the screens went blank. “Aegis” was not working any more, and the rockets could not get target information. Meanwhile, Su-24 flew over the deck of the destroyer, did battle turn and simulated missile attack on the target. Then it turned and repeated the maneuver. And did so 12 times.
Apparently, all efforts to revive the “Aegis” and provide target information for the defence failed. Russia’s reaction to military pressure from the United States was profoundly calm, feels the Russian political scientist Pavel Zolotarev:
The demonstration was original enough. A bomber without any weapons, but having onboard equipment for jamming enemy radar, worked against a destroyer equipped with “Aegis”, the most modern system of air and missile defence. But this system of mobile location, in this case the ship, has a significant drawback. That is, the target tracking capabilities.
They work well when there is a number of these ships which can coordinate with each other somehow. In this case there was just one destroyer. And, apparently, the algorithm of the radar in the “Aegis” system on the destroyer did not load under the influence of jamming by the Su-24. It was therefore not only a nervous reaction to the fact of flying around by the Russian bomber, which was common practice during the Cold War.
The reaction of the Americans was due to the fact that most modern system, especially its informative or radar part, did not work adequately. Therefore, there was such a nervous reaction to the whole episode.
After the incident, the foreign media reported that “Donald Cook” was rushed into a port in Romania. There all the 27 members of the crew filed a letter of resignation. It seems that all 27 people have written that they are not going to risk their lives. This is indirectly confirmed by the Pentagon statement according to which the action demoralized the crew of the American ship.
What are the possible consequences of the incident provoked by the U.S. in the Black Sea? Pavel Zolotarev forecasts:
I think that Americans are somehow going to reflect on improving the system “Aegis”. This is a purely military aspect. In political terms, there is hardly any likelihood of demonstrative steps by either side. That is enough. Meanwhile, for Americans it is a very unpleasant moment. In general, the missile defence system which they deploy involves huge expenditures.
They have to prove each time that it is necessary to allocate funds from the budget. At the same time, the ground component of the ABM was tested in ideal conditions and showed a low efficiency. This fact is concealed by the Pentagon. The most modern component, the sea-based system “Aegis” also showed its shortcomings in the present case.
The system with which the Russian Su-24 shocked the American destroyer “Donald Cook” has the code name “Khibiny”. This is the name of the mountain range on the Kola Peninsula in the Arctic Circle. “Khibiny” is the newest complex for radio electronic jamming of the enemy. They will be installed on all the advanced Russian planes .
Recently the complex has undergone regular testing exercises on the ground in Buryatia. Apparently, the tests which were conducted under conditions as close to real as possible, were successful.

Humans (Homo sapiens): 46 (23 pairs) 

There is no natural evolutionary way: 

1) Evolution from ape to human just "looses" two chromosomes (1 pair). It is impossible. 
2) Chromosomes 2 and 3 just "fuse" into one long jumbo doubled-up chromosome 

Somehow, humans have 46 chromosomes (23 pairs) and primates have 48 chromosomes (24 pairs). If two chromosomes less doesn't sound like a stark difference to you, well consider the fact that dolphins have 2 chromosomes less than humans, too, and look how different they are from humans! 

So what happened? To have caused both a SPLICING of hominids' chromosome 2 and 3 in one pair, and the loss of a whole chromosome pair?? 

Ancient GE! Only genetic engineering can explain that. It's like someone took a female earth hominid with 24 pairs of chromosomes, and wanted to impregnate it with their own sperm but their own species happens to have 23 pairs. So what do you do in order to make this hybridization work? You take the female earth hominid's egg's chromosome 2 and 3 and fuse them, that way eliminating one chromosome half-pair. With your sperm, you provide your 23 half-pairs, and now the genetically engineered female hominid egg with its doubled-up chromosome 2&3 provide 23 half-pairs, instead of the incompatible 24 pairs all other earth primates & hominids have. 

Problem solved, the female hominid's egg with chromosome # reduced by one, accepts fertilization from your sperm and the fertile hybrid offspring is born with your chromosome number and thus can, when mature, successfully reproduce with its hybrid siblings, other hybrids created as per above, and with your extraterrestrial species directly, too! 

However it cannot ever again successfully reproduce with the native earth hominids because of the reduced chromosome number. But that's not a problem since you already have 50% native DNA, that's more than enough, you don't want them to breed back into the native population for then they will end up reverting to mostly neanderthal/cromag/hominid race all over again. 

And so the human race was created some 150,000 yrs ago and then free to interbreed and reproduce with each other as well as directly with the extraterrestrial species that caused this

Abstract

A significant fraction of the human Y chromosome is composed of DNA sequences which have homologues on the X chromosome or autosomes in humans and non-human primates. However, most human Y-chromosome sequences so far examined do not have homologues on the Y chromosomes of other primates. This observation suggests that a significant proportion of the human Y chromosome is composed of sequences that have acquired their Y-chromosome association since humans diverged from other primates. More than 50% of the human Y chromosome is composed of a variety of repeated DNAs which, with one known exception, can be distinguished from homologues elsewhere in the genome. These include the alphoid repeats, the major human SINE (Alu repeats) and several additional families of repeats which account for the majority of Y-chromosome repeated DNA. The alphoid sequences tandemly clustered near the centromere on the Y chromosome can be distinguished from those on other chromosomes by both sequence and repeat organization, while the majority of Y-chromosome Alu repeats have little homology with genomic consensus Alu sequences. In contrast, the Y-chromosome LINE repeats cannot be distinguished from LINEs found on other chromosomes. It has been proposed that both SINE and LINE repeats have been dispersed throughout the genome by mechanisms that involve RNA intermediates. The difference in the relationship of the Y-chromosome Alu and LINE repeats to their respective family members elsewhere in the genome makes it possible that their dispersal to the Y chromosome has occurred by different mechanisms or at different rates. In addition to the SINE and LINE repeats, the human Y chromosome contains a group of repeated DNA elements originally identified as 3.4 and 2.1 kb fragments in HaeIII digests of male genomic DNA. Although the 3.4 and 2.1 kb Y repeats do not cross-react, both exist as tandem clusters of alternating Y-specific and non-Y-specific sequences. The 3.4 kb Y repeats contain at least three distinct sequences with autosomal homologies interspersed in various ways with a collection of several different Y-specific repeat sequences. Individual recombinant clones derived from isolated 3.4 kb HaeIII Y fragments have been identified which do not cross-react. Thus, the 3.4 kb HaeIII Y fragments are a heterogeneous mixture of sequences which have in common the regular occurrence of HaeIII restriction sites at 3.4 kb intervals and an organization as tandem clusters at various sites along the Y-long arm.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 400 WORDS)
